Day 1

Your adventure beings in Broome where we will pick you up from your accommodation for the 2.5 hours drive to Cygnet Bay. Your first stop, Broome's local favourite 'Good Cartel' for a delicious drive through breakfast and coffee.   This is your first taste of the Kimberley so watch out for dingoes, wild brumby’s and soaring eagles along the red dirt of the Cape Leveque Road.  Once we arrive in Cygnet Bay we have the option of doing the pearl farm tour and learning about the pearling industry. After billy tea and damper we will be ready to board the Achievement. You’ll be picked up by one of our two tenders and taken to the vessel.
You’ll be welcomed on board with a refreshing drink and a tour of the boat where we will explain some safety procedures. Once you’re settled in, we will cruise across the bay into the Indian Ocean. Enjoy the beautiful experience of watching the dolphins follow the boat and the amazing scenery. After a few beers and some locally caught fish served by our crew, you will retire for the night.

Day 4

Tide dependent we will visit Montgomery Reef either in the morning or the afternoon of the fourth day.  Montgomery Reef is a tidal phenomena where the dropping of the tide causes the reef to suddenly appear before your eyes. After half an hour of watching the reef rise from the water you will see waterfalls cascading all around the edge and amazing sea life, turtles, dolphins, are all in residents of the reef as well as every type of sea life. Next we move on to explore Ruby Falls. This is a beautiful picturesque oasis where freshwater pools and cascading water create a tranquil environment. For some it will be enough to walk at the edge of the waterfall and relax, and for others climbing the red rocks to the top pool is a real adventure.

Day 2

In the morning you awake in beautiful Talbot Bay and begin exploring Crocodile Creek. Crocodile Creek is so named for a rock formation that looks like a crocodiles head. Here we can explore the beautiful Ruby Falls and climb to the freshwater pools that cascade down from the spectacular Ocra rock formations of the Kimberley. After a quick lunch will head off to Silica Bay which is a pristine and beautiful beach with white sand that squeaks when you walk on it. At the end of day one we head back to the boat for a majestic sunset topped off with your favourite beverage and cheese platter.

Day 5

Your cruise arrives back into Cygnet Bay. It’s then a fond farewell from the skipper and crew as we transfer you and your travelling companions back to Broome, to your accommodation.

This is a sample itinerary only and we are able to tailor make the trip according to whether you want to fish more or simply spend more time relaxing. The tides are very important in the Kimberley’s and where possible we will follow the tides and this may change the order of the activities.

Horizontal Falls Pic.jpg

Day 3

The next day we head to the horizontal waterfalls where tides can range up to 12 metres. This natural phenomena is where there are rock formations which leave a passage into another bay. As the tide changes one side of the rock formations can be 11 meters higher than the other side creating a whirlpool that allows for an exhilarating speed boat ride. Horizontal falls is one of the natural wonders of the Kimberley created billions of years ago.
The afternoon will be riding the tenders through the beautiful mangrove lined creeks and rivers adjoining  Talbot Bay.
